Sheikh Tarik Ata

Sheikh Tarik Ata grew up near Chicago and earned a psychology degree from Northern Illinois University. He studied Islamic jurisprudence in Jordan, earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees, with a focus on Islamic commerce and finance.

His studies also include certifications in jurisprudence, hadith, Arabic, Quranic recitation and theology. He holds a master’s degree from Bayan Islamic Graduate School and has served OCIF since 2017, focusing on well-being, leadership, families and community.
